The rules are still pretty simple! 1) Bonus points: When you register with the League you will be asked to indicate the name of the country which in your opinion will win Euro 2008. This can earn you a 5-point bonus at the end of the competition. If your predicted winners lose in the final, you will be awarded 2 points. 2) League predictions: The game is divided into 6 bettings phases: 3 during the group stage, one for the quarter filnals, one for the semi-finals and one for the final. You will need to predict the correct score of each of the 31 games played in the competition. Deadlines for your predictions: 1st Group matches: deadline Saturday 7th June at 5pm British time (6pm continental time) 2nd Group matches: deadline Wednesday 11th June at 5pm British time (6pm continental time) 3rd Group matches: deadline Sunday 15th June at 7.45pm British time (8.45pm continental time) Quarter-Finals: deadline Thursday 19th June at 7.45pm British time (8.45pm continental time) Semi-Finals: deadline Wednesday 25th July 7.45pm British time (8.45pm continental time) Final: deadline Saturday 29th July at 7.45pm British time (8.45pm continental time) 3) Points: You get 5 points if you predicted the right score. You get 3 points if you predicted the winners (or draw) with the right goal difference between the two teams, but not the right score (i.e. the right score is 2-1 and you predicted 3-2, or 1-1 and you predicted 2-2). You get 2 points if you predicted the winners, but not the right goal difference between the 2 teams. You get 1 point if you predicted a draw but it was a win, or predicted a win but it is a draw. You get 0 points if you predicted the wrong winner. (Note that in the knockout stages, the League will take into account the final score at the end of the game, penalty shootouts excluded). 4) Winner: The League winner is the player who has scored the highest number of points after the 31 games (and after adding the potential bonus points). If two or more players share the same number of points, the ranking order will be decided by the number of correct scores predicted by these players throughout the competition Note that the competition's ombudsman is once again Danny Birchall.
